A Message with your Coffee

World Hepatitis Day 2020

We’d like to thank all the cafes that took part in the World Hepatitis Day coffee cup campaign on the 28th of July 2020. 25,000 biodegradable coffee cups were released into 26 cafes around Perth metro and regional WA.

Our office is open from 9:00AM to 5:00PM daily. The NSP is also open, providing resources, fresh fruit and hygiene products to our community.

Welcome to HepatitisWA

The word hepatitis means inflammation of the liver, which is the body’s normal response to infection and toxic stimuli.

The liver defends itself by trying to destroy or seal off viruses, damaged liver tissue or dangerous substances such as chemicals, alcohol or other drugs. This inflammatory response can protect against infection or substance but may also cause damage in itself. .Viral hepatitiscan be caused by any of the six hepatitis viruses which are identified as A, B, C, D, E and G.

Hepatitis A

Causes acute, short term infection.
